Concept Testing

Technology
What is this template and why does it matter?
It shows users a new feature or product concept and measures appeal, clarity, and willingness to adopt or pay. It matters because dev time is the most expensive resource in a software company, and this catches a weak concept before it consumes a sprint.
What questions should I ask?
Appeal of the concept, clarity of what it does, likelihood to use it, willingness to pay or upgrade for it, and fit with their existing workflow.
How many questions should it have?
6–9 per concept.
When / how often should you send it?
Before roadmap resources are committed to building it.
What does a strong result look like?
A validated signal that holds up when segmented by user type or plan tier, not just an average across your whole user base. Corvane segments by account attributes automatically.
Use these questions as a starting point for your research.
